Eating healthy runs deeper than just the main ingredients of the dish before us, as stated in my first post "Spiced for life" by adding certain spices to food, you can increase the health benefits immensely.

Adding some zesty Ginger to your food will

  • Aid in the absorption of food
  • Help the digestive process
  • Eliminate gas and bloating
  • Stimulate circulation
    Ginger is also great for reducing
  • Nausia
  • Motion sickness
  • Morning sickness

Tingling up the taste buds with some Cilantro

  • Gives you an increased intake of iron, magnesium, phytonutrients and flavonoids
  • Stimulates the digestive track as well as the appetite
  • Helps lower blood sugar by stimulating insulin secretion seeing that it has hypoglycemic properties

Stirring up your meal with some Cardamom

  • can aid the body with troublesome digestion
  • Sweeten the breath
  • Give your body a boost of antioxidants
  • Add minerals like iron, copper, calcium, potassium, manganese, selenium, zinc and magnesium and B-complex to your meals
  • Ease Gluten Intolerance
    And it is also good for
  • Prevent stomach pain & flatulence, bloating, gas, heartburn and loss of appetite
  • Indigestion, nausea, vomiting & can help to cut back excessive phlegm.
  • Cumin is also used to help with sleeplessness & because of it’s antiseptic properties is great to take when you feel a cold coming on.

LOVE the cLOVEs in your meals, they

  • Are anti-fungal and anti-microbial
  • Promote digestive health
    And can also be used
  • Externally for dental pain
  • In a foot-bath to get rid of athlete’s foot.a, nausea and upset stomach.

Rounding your meal with Sage

  • Stimulates mental health
  • Can help ease depression and anxiety

Bringing in some Basil

  • Will add some Vitamin A, Vitamin C, phosphorus, and calcium to your meal
  • As well as some magnesium, and potassium.
  • Aid your eyesight
  • Help your cardiovascular system
    Taken as a tea Basil can also soothe a headache, calm the nerves and lower a fever.

Bring up the spiciness with some Cayenne will

  • promote circulation
  • boost metabolism
  • as well as offering relief from menstrual cramps believe it or not!
