It's a tale of two fortunes for Chelsea and Manchester United as Chelsea resumed business as usual after the international break with another win and United continued their unconvincing gameplay with yet another defeat and both teams played away from home.

Leicester City hosted Chelsea with the hope of putting a dent in Chelsea's record in the league so far but they were unable to do that as they surrendered to a 3-0 loss against league leaders. Antonio Rudiger, Ngolo Kante and Pulisic all got on the score sheet to strengthen Chelsea's hold at the summit.

It was a convincing performance from Chelsea and they would be taking on Manchester United next in the league game as it would be an intense match, hopefully, with Solskjaer no longer at the helm of affairs for Manchester United after being sacked unceremoniously.

Chelsea took a quick freekick after Jorginho was fouled. He quickly launched a long pass to the in-form Chilwell and he did so well to get ahead of his marker but despite being one on one with the goalkeeper, Chilwell clipped the crossbar instead rather than score. He went for power rather than placement and Leicester City would be thrilled with the miss.

Rudiger decided to atone for his teammate after he powered home a header from an in-swinging corner kick delivery from Ben Chilwell in the 14th minute to give Chelsea a 1-0 lead so early on. Exactly 14 minutes after, Reece James' brilliant turn helped Kante to receive the pass and he went all the way to the edge of the box unchecked before powering home a lovely strike that left the goalkeeper with no hope of saving it. It was a great piece of individual brilliance as Chelsea went 2-0 up in 28 minutes.

Leicester City had a decent chance of their own when Amartey's long-range effort was met with equal brilliance by Mendy who stopped it for a corner kick. Chelsea should have gotten their 3rd goal of the game after Ziyech brilliantly released a pass into the box which Pulisic brilliantly met but his effort missed just narrowly despite being so perfectly positioned inside the box. He wasn't to make the same mistake twice after Ziyech yet again after dazzling with his feet, laid a pass into the box which Pulisic met and poked home in the 71st minute to seal the win with a comprehensive and convincing 3-0 win.

The league leaders keep marching on and this is looking like it's their title to lose at this point.
