No disrespect but this was a one-way match to me from the get-go but how wrong could I be! Wycombe made Tottenham suffer and labour hard for this win in the 4th round of the F.A Cup.

Mourinho rested some players as expected to prevent burn out and the likes of Bale who hardly ever get any game time with Joe Hart all came into the fray and get some game time.

Maybe Tottenham was so confident but not getting any clear cut chances and wasting obvious chances cannot be tolerated especially when playing against a quality opponent and maybe they felt Wycombe wasn't but on this day, they got away with those missed chances.

Wycombe surprisingly took the lead against Tottenham and they went wild, as expected. Onyedinma scored to put his side ahead. It was a brilliant ball in amidst struggle to cut in by Uche and his low cross took a deflection off Sanchez who knocked the ball into the path of Onyedinma and he did the rest. 1-0.

Bale has been guilty of wasting too many chances on this day. He wasted too many and for a player of his class, you'd expect better and more. He has been off form and little wonder he hasn't broken into the starting line up yet.

Shortly after Wycombe scored, Bale had the opportunity to restore parity. He did everything right but his poor finishing on the night let him down. Vinicius also came close in the 33rd minute after Lucas Moura's corner kick but there was no clean header for him from that chance.

In the 36th minute, Bale found Sissoko and he took his chance brilliantly only to be denied by the post. Bale had no luck going for the goal himself and this time around, he passed to Sissoko. Bale gave another pass to Lamela but his pass was a bit too heavy and Lamela struggled to reach it and to compound Tottenham's struggle on the night, the had a freekick go wide.

Tottenham was determined to go into half time levelled. Harry Winks delivered a good ball in but Tanganga could only find the crossbar. Bale later found space in the 45th minute and expertly lobbed his ball in to restore parity. For someone who has been off form on the day, Bale scored brilliantly and caught Wycombe defence napping. That was Gareth Bale's 4th goal of the season. The half time ended 1-1.

Wycombe has only won once in 13 League games and it is expected they would struggle against Tottenham and Lucas Moura wanted to take the game beyond all doubt when he fired through in between legs but he missed just narrowly in the 49th minute.

Bale could have had his hat-trick if not for his misses and he had a brilliant run into the box again in the 50th-minute only for his effort to flash narrowly wide too.

Son and Kane both shared 35 goals in between themselves but they graced the bench instead. Lamela also had another chance comfortably saved in the 54th minute.

Bale was desperate to redeem himself on the night and in the 65th minute, he had a brilliant-cut in and his shot was saved. Mourinho needed answers and he brought Ndombele and Son into the fray.

Winks picked out Harry Kane in the 70th minute but his effort was blocked while Son also came close with a left-footed shot that didn't threaten the goalkeeper in any way. Sissoko also set up Son and strangely in the box, Son blazed over.

When it looked like this game was heading for a draw, Harry Winks produced a curling effort into the unguarded net after Kane squandered his first attempt before a deflection gave Winks the ball. 2-1.

Just a minute after, Ndombele coolly slotted his effort home in the 87th minute and it was 2 goals in quick succession when Son was found, he raced in and then released the ball to Ndombele. This looked like a repeat of what Chelsea did with Cheltenham when goals started flying in at the death. The game ended 4-1 on the day and Mourinho would be relieved.

Ndombele had his second goal on the day in the 93rd minute and that is 2 goals in a little over 5 minute. Winks found Ndombele after his initial cut back found the score.

A lovely relief from Tottenham and they would be glad.

Thank you for your time.
