SOMEONE UP THERE

There is someone up there
Who was mocked for our salvation
Humiliated and bruised
And crucified for it.

There is someone up there
Whose death washed our sins away
Whose death made us whole
Whose resurrection brought us salvation.

There is someone up there
Whose death taught us grace
Whose resurrection brought us peace
And a promise of eternal life.

There is someone up there
Who heart is always open
Whose arms are always welcoming
Who resurrected for our sake.

That someone is Jesus
For it is true and I believe
I need not see
But I believe.

For He was killed and buried
Yet His tomb is empty
And it’s still empty
For He resurrected
And yes He lives.

Easter is the resurrection of the son of God. It reminds us of the cross and the heart wrenching sufferings of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. It reminds us all of the innocent blood that was spilled for our salvation. It reminds us of the betrayal of man. But above all, it reminds us of the power and the glory of God. For His death and the Resurrection gave us our salvation.

For his resurrection restored our faith and strengthened our salvation and because he lives, we can all face tomorrow.
