The Adventures of Coby the Snek!

Oh my gosh... So I'm never doing this again, lol...

Somehow, somewhere, while I was commenting like crazy this morning, in my brain popped the idea for a post today... It's definitely Snekky's fault, I'm just not sure how lol... I don't remember! Sooo many comments...

Anywayz! So my idea was to make a cute little cartoon to serve two purposes: To prove that I can draw cartoons (failed!) and also to help out my fellow #thebeast participants by giving them something to post about (possibly not failed! - more info. on this below the cartoon).

How hard can it be? I thought ... Hah...! So, drawing with a mouse is hard, everyone. Really hard! I should have known with all the practice I've had playing Skribbl...

But, I'm kinda stubborn and got through it. With further ado, I present to you, the first (and possibly last) adventures of Coby the Snek:

I know, I know... A little underwhelming, perhaps... But I tried, okay? XD .. =P

So now, here's my idea for how you (perhaps much more talented drawers) could post about this:

My idea is for Coby to go down the hole and discover all the strange things in it. In the last square, I drew a few odd things... tentacles, crystals, mushrooms, etc... And not very well. But you could let your imagination loose! The hole is meant to be bottomless, so my idea is for you to continue drawing the hole, with all sorts of weird and wonderful things on its walls =)

And every now and then Coby will find a hole in the side of the wall, and go into it, which will transport him to a magical land. The inspiration for this is from one of my favourite childhood stories "Up the Faraway Tree" by Enid Blyton. If you've read it, you'll know what I'm talking about ;) .. If not, definitely try getting hold of a copy... Even if just to read to your kids.

Anyway... Imagine Coby crawling into one hole after another, discovering all sorts of magical lands inside them... The Land of Apples, perhaps? =D .. Or the Land of Toffee, where everything is made of toffee? Or we could make it darker... The Land of Pins and Needles, with actual pins and needs?? lol... I don't know...

All I know is that I'm sadly not going to have time for doing more of this in the future, as much as I'd like to. So I'll leave the Adventures of Coby the Snek in your good hands =) .. Don't leave him hanging! ;)
