Wow, now this was a GREAT IDEA!
Eventually this year, we'll be back into deer hunting season. Until then, we've still got some great meat from last season to enjoy. Mama-Pepper pulled out some venison backstrap the other day and I decided to fire up our smokehouse. The goal was just to hot-smoke the wild game over some hickory, and that proved to produce a succulent entrée for our family to enjoy. I've got just a couple of photos to share, but the food is all gone, so there is no leftovers for anyone to taste test. I can't wait to keep using this smokehouse! It's definitely been a blessing to us! Enjoy the photos.
