bHIVE Daily Bible - (1 John 5:1-12)

Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. [2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. [3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. [4] For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. [5] Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? [6] This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. [7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. [8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. [9] If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. [10] He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. [11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. [12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.’” 1John 5:1-12

This chapter is calling us to something we should not reject in our faith and journey to,the real life. As we begin this chapter, there we see "Faith in Jesus Christ and a true love of God, with the statement that tell us whoever is prepared to enter into a relationship with God must first believe that Jesus is Christ. This is a great revelation and a marvelous thing. Matthew 16:13-18.
‎The word of God also makes it clear that the only things that can make our love towards God perfect and complete is the faith that we talking about here. Many people use their lives and properties to announce that they love God but they deny the son of God, Jesus Christ and by so doing they hate He who begot Him(God). 1John 5:1 John 3:36.
‎Another things that we in today's lecture is the victory over the world that those are born of God must reveal in their daily lives. Jesus Christ asked the Jews " which of you convicts me of sin?" John 8:46a. Being am overcomer goes beyond verbal pronouncement or mere singing,whoever is an overcomer must be someone who has the spirit of God in order to overcome
SIN, WORLD, SATAN.

We saw three important things that are witnesses of our salvation.
(1) Water
(2) Blood
(3) Spirit.
In the beginning of Jesus ministry, the Bible says He came to John be baptized in the river Jordan. Matt. 3:13-15. The importance of water in this statement goes beyond washing the outer part of the cup or washing away the diets of flesh, instead if this, we saw Jesus Christ fulfilling the righteousness of God openly and the answering of a good conscience towards God. 1Peter 3:21.
The second witness is blood: This is the blood that Jesus Christ shed on the cross that signifies the completion of ous salvation. The book of Matthew makes it clear that the blood of Jesus Christ is a seal if the new covenant for the remission of sins Matthew 26:28. The third witness is Spirit, as soon as Jesus Christ was baptized in the river Jordan, heaven opened and the spirit of God alighted on Him, then a voice came saying "This is my beloved son in whom I am pleased". Matthew 3:16-17.
Finally, our faith must be in Jesus Christ, we must all fulfill the righteousness of God as written in the Holy Scriptures and live a victorious life as someone expecting the second coming of Jesus Christ daily.
