Good morning my friends, a lovely dessert for this weekend that you will love it , let’s do it together

Ingredients

For baklava:

24 sheets of crust

500 gr. walnuts, crushed

300 gr. butter, melted

100 gr. granulated sugar

1 + ½ κ.σ. cinnamon, powder

¼ κ.γ. clove, powder

¼ κ.γ. nutmeg, powdered

¼ κ.γ. salt

Clove stick, for serving

For the syrup:

420 ml of water

350 gr. granulated sugar

100 gr. honey

1 cinnamon stick

Juice and peels of a lemon

Juice and peels of an orange

Preparation

1
Execution for the syrup: Place a deep saucepan over medium heat, pour in all the ingredients for the syrup and bring to a boil. When the water starts to boil, continue cooking for 4-5 minutes. Once it is ready, set it aside to cool.

2
Execution for the baklava: Pour in a bowl the nuts, the cinnamon, the nutmeg, the clove, the salt, the sugar, mix them very well with a spoon and leave them aside.
3
Next, we get a rectangular oven tray measuring 40x25cm. and butter it very well. Place a sheet of crust in the center of the pan, butter it and sprinkle it with a little of the mixture with the nuts. Then, place another buttered sheet on top and follow the same procedure for 10 more sheets, alternating with a sheet of walnuts, until the mixture is finished.
4
Immediately after, cover with a sheet, butter it and follow the same procedure for the remaining 11 sheets.
5
Finally, close the remaining leaves that protrude inwards, carve them into a diamond shape with a straight knife, place in each piece of 1 clove stick and bake in a preheated oven at 160 ° C on the heating elements up and down for 1 hour and 30 minutes .
6
Once it is ready, remove the pan from the oven and pour the cold syrup over the hot baklava.
7
Cut and serve with ice cream.

I hope you enjoy this

Stay safe and healthy my friends and take care of your people

My best wishes from Greece
