dive into my archive

For the Easydex Photo Challenge this week, hosted by @boyerobert, I had to dive into my archive. And see if I did have a picture with street lights on it. It is not a subject that I have often photographed ... I knew that for sure.

No Street Lamps in my street now

And where I live now, there are no street lamps in this street. Living in the countryside is in some ways as if you live in a no man's land.

Photo made in 2014 before moving to the countryside

I made the above photo in 2014, a month before moving to the countryside. And if you see the amount of streetlights on this photo, in a street ... then you also understand that I had to get used to the fact that I did not have streetlights in the new house when I let the dogs go out in the dark.

Street Lamps always let their light shine

Here dark is really dark, in contrast to my old neighborhood where the street lamps always let their light shine. There I put on a safety vest and walked safely with the dogs on the sidewalk.

In the dark I have to be very careful here

Here I have to put on a safety vest, bring a flashlight, provide the dogs with illuminated collars and they also receive a reflective safety vest. There is no sidewalk here, we walk right along a road, and although there is a limit of 60 km per hour, everyone understands that cars are passing by at a much higher speed. And in the dark I have to be very careful here.

Very different as what I was used to, and what I was used to you see in the photo above.
