My Christmas moment

Christmas day used to be a special day when I was way younger. It was the one time of the year we'd leave the city and go to visit our grandparents in the village. This means we will come in contact with other kids who came home from other cities. As time passed, this tradition went out of style, fewer kids came home for the festivities, some years, we don't even go.

Now, I'm all grown up.

Christmas means much more to me now. It is the anniversary of the birth of my Lord and Saviour; The One who was, who is and is to come. The soon coming King.

Beyond the merry, wining and dining, much deeper than the festivities is the love God felt towards mankind. I feel super loved.

It is also the time of the year I get to act like a child again. Home with my family, catching up with the events of the year.

Today was not different; after a wonderful breakfast of pounded yam and vegetables soup we went to church and fellowshipped with the brethren.

A family outing sealed the day with catfish pepper soup and hollandia yoghurt.

Christmas is about His glory and grace; Merry Christmas to all and sundry.

He loves you all!
