Simply "Being".

It’s pretty hard to live in a world where simplicity and calmness are overlooked when they should be appreciated. Every day, humans are constantly gripped and plugged in. Calenders and deadlines, places to be, lengthy to-do lists, noise, competition, fast cars, trendy Twitter hashtags and social media craze for latest stuff, etc. We're all over the place and we seem to love the activity and indulgence. Doesn't matter if it's okay or not.

While being active and busy is a good thing, perhaps too much busyness could be counterproductive. Ineffective entropy, hasty decisions or no decisions at all, avoidable mistakes, and minimal productivity - to name a few effects. Because of the distractions, lots of people seem to lose their focus on the important things.

Why so busy?
Why isn't anyone focused on just being?

Still waters run deep.

"Being" is a great state of mind and to take that as a life-long pursuit could turn out to become one of the best decisions one can ever make. It's the occasional "ungrip" and intentional disconnect from stuff so as to achieve clarity on the important things. It's stillness to remain in the moment.

Maybe we should slow down. There’s little value in chasing shadows or wanting and doing what everyone else does. Rather, I think there are enough benefits and lessons to discover when we take life slowly, get to understand ourselves and others better, enjoying each moment for what they are.

You'll never know, maybe the best way to get your life back is to stop, watch and do nothing for a while, to simply be.
