No one ever notices when you are being provoked, just when you retaliate
As a mother to 4 handsome, intelligent, noisy, bickering dudes this rings super true
"Mom, I only ______ because he _______." Remember last week when he said x to me?!?!?! That is why I said y." These little boys of mine bicker about everything, past or present, or relevance seems to be inconsequential. I like to pretend like I have eyes in the back of my head, but I don't see everything. I am sure they pokepokepoke at one another plenty when they are not being observed. Aside from them provoking one another they are well behaved.
I keep trying to equip them with the best piece of wisdom I hold in this brain of mine.
Don't Be a Dick
This advice has served me well for the entire three plus decades I have existed.
I am a person who rarely holds grudges. Only recently has it came to my attention that I even had "enemies". I try to be a decent, productive member of every part of society I function in. Including my local community, facebook, and possibly most important and relevant to my audience here - the whaleshares community. I treat others how I want to be treated, I give second chances (and often many more), I apologize, I admit when I am wrong, and I try to respond accordingly to constructive criticism. I said all of that to say this: I am a human, I am authentically me, sometimes I am too blunt, I say fuck a lot, if people pokepokepoke me some times I will start taking jabs back. I also have a huge heart, if I can help someone, I will. If I have a sandwich and you are hungry too, you can take half. I spend hours a week troubleshooting, encouraging, and brainstorming. I try to be available to people, in real life, and on the interwebs.

Whaleshares has been a life changing experience for me, it has always felt like home to me.

This tidbit is also particularly helpful to me lately. Be good to people and they will be good to you.....mostly.
People can think whatever they want to about me, they are entitled to their opinion. We don't have to agree on anything to be kind to one another. I will continue to work on me, and you (you editorially) can and should continue to work on you. If you have questions, I am a transparent individual, I am available on discord everyday for 12-16 hours a day.
I want to be available and want to know your concerns.
Your voice does matter, and so does mine.
