Blockchain Saturday finally held this past Saturday, and it is safe to say that it was a success. The event was slated to hold on the 23rd of February, but due to the postponement of the Nigerian General Elections, the meet-up had to be moved to the 2nd March 2019. The turn was great, despite several intending participants missing out due to security concerns, we still had a packed venue.

The event which held in a neighbouring city around Lagos, saw me and part of the team embarking on a short road trip to Ibadan. It was an exciting and fun trip as we had little chitchats, selfies and snacks on the way there, there were music and everything else that makes road trips so much fun.

Beam Presentation - Agbona Igwemoh

Although we encountered a little trip jam on our way out of the city, we still arrived at our destination an hour earlier. We hit the ground running as Sushie (The Mc) Introduced me and I am to make a presentation on a privacy project called Beam. A project that I am an Ambassador for, and was more than happy to talk about. The participants were engaging and inquisitive to learn as much as they could about the project, and other projects that came after me.

Beam is a MimbleWimble based project, and it is poised to be the go-to privacy token as it solves the project of scalability, which most privacy tokens are challenged with. The project was launched sometime in January, and it has received remarkable feedback from the cryptocurrency community.
