These are the amazing things I learned from Bro. Eli Soriano's teaching on the above-mentioned topic in addition to my own personal research as well.

Marriage is a good thing and God enjoined us to fulfil that mandate too so as to procreate and replenish the earth with our seeds who will continue after God's ordinances. Baptism is a show of faith and understanding that you have decided to follow in God's ways and of course that comes with deep understanding of the Word of God. Marriage cannot hinder Baptism but Baptism must be done only when someone has fully understood the importance of it and of God's Word.

Acts 22:16 (NIV)

And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.’

The above scriptural reference was when Paul realized he was in the wrong religion and God spoke to him through Ananias and he was told to go and get baptized to wash his sins off and call on the name of the Lord. When the call for Baptism comes, whether you have been engaged or would be engaged later, as a believer, we need to step up and get baptized.

1 Timothy 5:11 (NIV)

As for younger widows, do not put them on such a list. For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, they want to marry.

Being Baptized is the will of God and marriage even though God instituted it but it is not a prerequisite to get to heaven. Being married according to this Bible reference is a call to tame the sensual desires so as not to commit but being baptized is a call to divinity.

Being married or engaged has nothing to do with the sacredness of baptism. It is not a prerequisite for the other. Mary was engaged to Joseph even before it so most people try to say you must be baptized before being engaged. What if they are both unbelievers and after marriage they found Jesus?

Whether you are married or not, engaged or not, you can be baptized. Baptism is the acceptance of the will of God and
to fulfil His will.

1 Corinthians 7:13 (NIV)

And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him.

It is not a requirement for anyone to get married before being baptized. The above Biblical reference points to the woman who is a believer who must have been baptized but has the husband who isn't a believer. This only means they got married without one being baptized and that is a model that it doesn't have to be a requirement before marriage but it is a requirement for every believer to get baptized.
