First working week of the year down ....

It's been a manic first week to kick off the new year. All in a good way .... yesterday I came to spend a bit more time browsing on WhaleShares. As I did so, I went gung-ho with my shares and upvoted (shared? UpWhaled? What's the right phrase please someone? hahaha) until my power was somewhere below 50%. As I thought about letting it recharge, it seemed appropriate to think well, we all need to do the same in daily life here and there! I'm currently enjoying being back in my home country England, down here in the South (Devonshire), catching up with family, friends, AND family friends, and discovering that half the town seems to in fact vaguely or directly remember and know me, if nothing else by proxy of the highly sociable and liked character my younger brother has been around here. It's a nice feeling, returning to a 'home town', to walk into a pub full of ordinary working folks, a ready made crowd of companions, some of which can even hold semi-intelligent conversations.(!) Whilst in Thailand, no matter what, you are the foreigner even in a pub full of foreigners, and a lot of dumb ones at that (sometimes, in particular, the hapless tourists and single male 'travelers', whom, after weeks of revelry, seem to want to latch onto the first person they see whom appears to know 'local speak', (i.e., me), and begin with an overly friendly (comes across clingy/looking for a leader), lengthy interview of questions on life in Thailand .... or, worse, tell me a forlorn heartbreak over a Thai chic .... and ask MY advice (as if!)... If I was a tour guide? I'd probably be turning the tables on myself and becoming the desperate one .... in any case, it's illegal. "There's no place like home" as they say ..... Now in Devon, i could be a tour guide, but I got busy doing other things, and will be back in Asia very soon to continue plans for more (unannounced) projects lined up during the year.

In early 2017, having followed with keen interest yet just stepped into the market at a time when, unbeknownst to us all, crypto was about to experience it's largest 'pump rally' yet, and one that will stand in history as the major wild west gold rush of our times. Entering 2019, we are on a very different playing field once again. Major crypto prices are down, and some of the weakest projects have sunk into a blackhole, or become Red Dwarves, culled and gone for good. Despite this and without researching the numbers, there is still actually more money, people, new projects, new regulations, etc etc ... getting in on this stuff. I believe 2019 will be an interesting year, and could see some players come to fruition with solid technology offerings.

The banks/corporations are obviously getting into the tech, and some are even having to come around and see in plain sense the technological superiority of moving values around on a blockchain. They're aims are going to be to deploy 'invisibly' to customers (even BoE chief talking about how the technology is required to move banking forwards into the present techno era ...)

Governor of the Bank of England Mr Mark Carney comments from a Daily Telegraph article dated Jan 10th, 2018. Mr Carney if you are reading this, we have the technology required and just need a little collaboration to create a BoE version

WHALE WISH LIST

As for WhaleShares, now seems like 1 year old almost (from pre-beta form in any case, like this account). I only have to select a topic or start scrolling posts and there's simply endless content; some opinionated, many heavily emotional/passionate, some gems of straight up fact from fiction. I have a lot of fun going through them, however I do crave better curation tools more than anything.

I can't be the only one, and I know the straight answer is "find the best bloggers and follow them for the best stream"

So I am trying to do that also, follow the interesting ones .... so here are 2 recommendations straight from the top of my head! I didn't even notice some of my favorites from STEEM until I stumbled upon them - example, @papa-pepper recently became very active around here, as well I'd not forgotten yet just been going round the blocks when @djlethalskillz also came by once again. Guys, love whatcha do!

Are there any tools or can anyone help with auto-shares? There are maybe 10-12 very most known accounts I follow and I would like to make sure that is in place. Further to support new finds - it's just not possible to go through them all manually. If not an auto-vote/share, as I know some think that as a poor solution - some notification engine to give me a 'digest' of post links from a set list of accounts?

Sorry for the slightly random ramblings :)
