Severus Snape wand - Hidden hero

I recently had the opportunity to be in contact with a copy of the Severus Snape's Wand. It was the first time I could hold any of the franchise wands and it was very peculiar. Made of black pine wood with engravings of two sections like seals on its handle. The story comments its interior is made of Dragon's heart nerve. I thought then of the simplicity of the magical object described and how it resembles the iconic character of the franchise like Severus. The half blood prince was characterized by a serious, disapproving and unmoving attitude. No one ever saw his true intentions. On many occasions he seemed to be the bad guy and responsible for the unfortunate events. In others, he carried them out by taking even more strongly the role of villain. After all, this is the wand that finished the life of Albus Dumbledore.

What surprised me about Severus' story was the transformation by love. Yes, love. One that didn't abandon his heart since childhood and, as Albus Dumbledore pointed out, "Severus, even after all this time ..." to which he replied "always". That love for Lily Evans allowed him to resume the path of good and be the secret Hero, the unseen hero of the saga until the end of the story. Even with the loss of his beloved he protected her offspring in charge of carrying the prophecy against the Dark Lord out. He even seemed to care more about Harry and his protection. Severus, playing double agent and obeying only the love in his heart, had a fundamental role in the fulfilling of a prophecy that would change the magical world. I believe as a teaching, we should never underestimate the reaching of love that, in Severus' case, made him leave the dark path to protect a child and his peculiar destiny. That's why Harry honored his son with his name and recognized his courage. With love, even darkness shall know happiness.
