Snowfall in the city (watercolor)-step by step process
Hello, friends! Today is my day off, so I had time to paint a little. I already painted the city during the sunrises and sunsets, rain. Today I paint the city in the snow. I thought it would be interesting. I was painting an online class.
I use my favorite paper CANSON Moulin Du Roy 300mg, 100% cotton.I love Satin, but this time I took Fin.
Next, I draw a sketch using my perspective knowledge. Marking the horizon and the vanishing point. I draw lines of houses that converge to this point. Also a new object for me - cars. It is drawn as well as buildings.
Next step. This is the first time I've used masking fluid to leave unpainted spaces in my painting. I drew a sketch, and then I sprayed masking fluid on the buildings. After the masking liquid dries, it becomes like a film that does not pass the paint.
My palette for this painting consists of 4 colors that I blended together - payne's grey, purple, burnt sienna and ironoxide red
I moistened the top of the sheet with water and started painting the sky and painting over the first layer on the buildings. I paint wet. All the paint and gently spread out.
I dry a sheet of paper and then paint on dry. I'm starting to paint the buildings. I paint buildings and add all the colors from my palette - gray, purple, brown.
I painted over all the buildings. I left the two vertical white space is the window. When I was painting the buildings, I got water stains on them. This is simple. When the paint was still wet I put a brush point with clean water.
I moistened the bottom of my drawing with water. Here I draw a shadow of snow. I do spray paint to show the snow texture and dirt on the road. Also, I drew the lights from the headlights of cars.
I dried it. I draw with a dry brush the car and the figure on the road. I also take a thin brush and add lights and other small details. After my painting is dry, I remove the masking fluid. In this place there are white spots. This flakes snow, which suddenly covered the city.
My painting's ready!
I decided to come up with my signature for watercolor paintings. For Chinese painting, I put my personal stamps, which I consider my signature. But I had no signature for the other drawings. A monogram of the letters "V" and "L" - is already used by the famous brand :)) I have decided to sign my drawings with my nickname.
Cheers
