'The Lake Bay'

The tree is growing from the stone and above the salty water. This impressed me because both mediums are harsh for the plant. It dies from salt water and would never grow on the stone itself.

This is the magic of life at its very vivid manifestation.

The main colour is green. It is in the water, in the branches of close trees, as well as distant trees. The green is counter-balanced by the magenta border which rounds the colour scheme and evens it out in a perfect balance. I deliberately left the black in the dark grey levels, instead of pushing it down because I did not want to get a dead serious atmosphere which it would create if so. I left it playful as was the wind on that lake. The white part of the sky nicely balances the grey so the tonal composition s also well met.

The composition is mostly created by small lines, while scarce flat areas (mainly on the surface) are sharply bordered with them.
