So we are back online, cool. Hopefully things will improve from here. I know that there are many people very passionate about Whaleshare as am I and want to see it succeed. I'm not going anywhere and have no plans on sell my stake. I am here for the long haul, sink or swim.
I would like to be coming back with a bang and a good sculpture to show you but it just so happens that this is the next one for me to Document and show. This is number 101.

Logo sculpture

This was a little project Niall Magee and Myself made for Hennessy whiskey as part of the 2007 fringe Festival in Dublin. It was quite a commercial sculpture with lots of logo work but I did try and design it to at least have some sort of creative elements.

We actually made two sculptures pretty much the same.
The client wanted their logo plastered everywhere which I didn't really like but sometimes you have to suck it up and do it for the pay day.
My only want for the design was to add elements of music so that it fit in better with the festival and we didn't look too much like commercial whores. The client didn't really care as long as the sculpture were branded heavily.

The most note worthy thing about the project was that the sculptures were built on a little scaffolded island in the middle of a dock. I was worried that the weight of the sand would be an issue on the wood and metal base and it was. The sculpture was wobbling as we carved but luckily we were able to keep it altogether by moving slowly and trying not to shake the platform.

I usually hate designing before I make a sculpture but the client wanted to see something so I sent them this amazing rendering. Say nothin', you know I am a sculptor and not a drawer.
