The word "publish" has been limited to the occasional commercial launch of a book, text or document for sale through a publishing house, company or personally, whether in the traditional paper form or using modern methods.

However, this is not the true meaning of this word, since it indicates the action of making something known to the public, and for this purpose not only the commercial or printed medium is the obligatory vehicle that must be taken, although logically in the case of literature it is the one that is most frequently done.

Communicational diversity, led by the Internet, has given tools that break borders and transform the writer of fiction and his works into an aimless traveler capable of crossing the planet in seconds, bringing his message to everyone's eyes without investing large amounts of money and being able to make a profit from them.

Everything is subject to what the goals or desires of that traveler are and the disposition he has to show the fruit of his work to others, as well as the strength he has acquired to be criticized or praised for this action, because this will serve as a stimulus to advance or as a dagger to stop. A Japanese proverb that I like very much and that I have made my own says "Nothing in life is worth learning if it cannot be taught" and paraphrasing it "Nothing in life is worth writing if it cannot be published".

The fear of others discovering the inner world of the person is innate, it has been stigmatized who likes to embrace literature as an egocentric being, isolated, dark, vicious, weird and many more epithets, therefore some people have preset concepts about the work that someone does in this field and do what they proclaim that we are, that is to say keep us in the dark, is to give them weapons to continue growing these attacks that do not have any kind of argument.

Immortality is not conditioned to someone's physical transcendence, but to the perpetuity of his works that are able to overcome time and keep his memory alive in people who never knew him.

We are masters of our own destiny and aware of our fears, we know what the limits are that imprison us and we are also obliged to break them.

Writing opens the doors to an immense inner world and also gives us endless opportunities in which our senses are stimulated and taken to a different level than normal people, without this meaning that we are not also normal people.

Enclosing our creations and condemning them to oblivion is a vile and cowardly act that drags the work and knowledge that have been part of our existence into misery.

María Teresa Fuenmayor, Venezuelan writer and music teacher wrote in a story called "Egoism" from her book "Vampires in the Sun" published by the Venezuelan publishing house "Proyecto Expresiones" the story of a lady who wrote very good poems but never placed them anywhere for fear of being plagiarized, when she died her children took those papers with their verses to feed the fireplace in winter.

Those who refuse to break the shell make up these and many arguments for not showing their work to others, lock themselves in the position that they are not doing their work for others but for themselves, scourging the passion or gift with which they were provided.

Publishing is the main commandment that summarizes the previous ones because it is the trial by fire that baptizes us as writers, no matter what level we have at that moment.

He who does not publish does not exist.
