The green toad (Bufo viridis) in the Silesian Park, Poland

The green toad (Bufo viridis) is a beautiful amphibian from the toad family. The toad's body is light gray, covered with green spots, slightly darker in females. In addition to green spots, the body is covered with warts, which have red tips on the sides. Some subspecies are brown.
The eyes have horizontal, elliptical pupils, the iris are yellow. There are also red iris. Eardrums are clearly visible. The male has an air sac at the bottom of the mouth.
Males during the mating season make sounds similar to the canary's song. It mainly eats insects and spiders.
