ECCLESIASTES
A man is as good as his worth
The worth of a man
Is as good as the weight of his words
And the words of a man
Is as good as his fulfilment of them
A man is only a man of his words
Because his actions speak for him
A good name he makes for himself
With his deeds
Oh yes, his deeds
His aye never becomes nay
And his nay does not magically turn to aye
His tomorrow remains the day after
And even when life hits
He is noble enough to be answerable
Just enough, to feel remorse
Have you seen a man diligent in his work?
And graceful in speech?
He shall dine amongst kings
For he shall be a king, himself
He does the job asked of him
Pay debts incurred without unnecessary ado
He speaks the truth
In the presence and in the absence of his enemies
He’s one-faced
A friend you can count on
He shall come and go freely as he wishes
Your home is welcomed to him
For he holds your trust
Things kept in his care do not vanish
They do not suffer abuse
Do you know a man of integrity?
Hold him dare and treat him as such in return
For there remains a few
In a world where liars and thieves
Flourish for their misdeeds.
