What is ScribbleGuild poetry curation?
Twice each week ScribbleGuild curates two of the best poetry posts. If selected, your post will receive 50% - 100% rewards from ScribbleCoin or DBREAD token.
How to become eligible?
- First, join our discord channel.
- Look for "Share Your Best Work" — here's an image of what you're looking for.
- Decide whether your work is poetry or prose and drop the post link in the correct channel
- Ensure that your post is eligible for payout. This falls on the Friday after the post was curated. If you miss this, you may lose your rewards.
- Last, make sure one of the tags is scribbleguild.
We'll be curating prose on Tuesdays and Poetry on Thursdays. As the number of entries increases we'll be adding another prize so there'll be more chances to win each week.
THE WINNERS
curated by @warpedwhale
Soliloquize by @joseph1956
The poem delves into the question of man's reality and how real it truly is. It questions the possibility of this world being nothing but a fantasy and asks where we go when we leave and if there's a possibility of return.
The poem is divided into 4 stanzas which are made up of 4 lines each. My favourite lines are;
"Maybe they're all just simple ramblings of dark nights,
the soliloquize of someone accustomed to the difficult labyrinths
of an existence that is a tarnished mirror of reality,
or an approach to absolute truth that we will never understand"
- Stanza 4, lines 13-16.

Bodies by @chinyerevivian
The poem takes a look at the pain dished out to children by adults who are supposed to know better. It questions the way society manipulates, oppress and destroy the childhood of children for personal gain. The poem is a social commentary on issues that we tend to ignore when we are not directly affected.
The poem is divided into 3 stanzas of 14 lines each. My favourite lines are;
"A child barely out of boyhood,
Snatched from his bed at night,
His untouched projects forgotten,
His food left for molds to finish.
He misses his father’s stories
And his friends’ laughter.
He carries them with him
As he shoots his first rifle"
- Stanza 3, lines 30-37.

Please remember...
- Some of the posts offered were not tagged with the scribbleguild tag. Whilst I was lenient this week, including this tag will be essential if you want to be considered for future prizes.
- You may now offer creative writing posts in both the prose and poetry channels for consideration for next weeks competition.
ScribbleGuild is backed by its own coin, ScribbleCoin, and generous help from our sponsors: @dbread and @eternalblue. With these we’ll aim to give as much help to our community as we possibly can. Look out for more details about features and competitions coming very soon!
