I took a risk here!
Carp salad? Purslane? Snake Gourd? Malabar Spinach? Elephant Garlic? Thornless Blackberries? Homemade Pickles? Egyptian Walking Onion Greens?
In this video, I assess my resources and get creative. My goal was to use my giant Malabar Spinach leaves as a wrap for some Carp Salad. The Carp salad is basically a Tuna Salad substitute and this time I use our Homemade Pickles and some diced Purslane & Egyptian Walking Onion Greens in the mix. Then I harvested our first Snake Gourd of the year and stir fry it with some wild Elephant Garlic and a fresh Onion from the garden. After the Little-Peppers pick a large bowl full of our Thornless Blackberries, we ended up with a well-rounded meal, but was it edible?
Thankfully, my creative experiment paid off BIG and we enjoyed a wonder meal that I speculate no one has ever eaten before. Around here, it just may become a staple. Enjoy the show!
