These ain't like the thirty pieces of silver,
That that betrayer, betrayed the Saviour with,
These ain't like the thirty pieces of silver,
That spelt and smelt betrayal in each of it,
These are thirty lines of poetry,
With words precious than silver.

These ain't written in thirty minutes
Nor by one who's aged thirty,
But thirty lines of expression,
Of life and impression,
Thirty lines of poetry,
Of words as glittery as light.

Thirty lines of poetry,
These are not lines of betrayal,
These are not lines of denial,
For truly, inspiration flows in these lines
And the words therein are products
Of a long-lasting creativity.

Grab wisdom with thy pen,
And fight not with swords,
Shed no blood but win the battle,
Go to the field with your words
And see how much impact you will make,
Impacts in thirty and many more.

And the thirty lines of poetry
Are the breath of a writer,
The sword of a fighter,
Alas! It'd be the trophy of a warrior,
Who has made it a duty,
To use the pen daily.
