Cryptoandcoffee said to me last week on Hive that Manchester United losing is never a sporting disaster and that's because they always struggle against whoever they play with and I have to agree with this. It's shocking how a team full of quality and individual talents as Manchester United would struggle to finish off their chances and they end up paying for it every time.

Manchester United started upfront with Cavani and Ronaldo rested after 120 minutes against Middlesbrough midweek. Manchester United started the game well but paid for not taking their chances by making their dominance count. Burnley got into the game with Jay Rodriguez getting his first goal in over a year against Manchester United at Turf Moor. It's shocking to know if this United side train set pieces because they haven't even recorded a goal from set-piece all season.

Marcus Rashford forced a block and a stop at the near post from Nick Pope in the 8th minute after his shot was stopped for a corner kick. Pope covered his near post so well.

Varane thought he had given Manchester United the lead in the 14th minute after he powered home a header from Bruno Fernandes' freekick but VAR ruled the goal for offside and infringement on the part of Maguire after he obstructed play. There is something with Manchester United and VAR hahahaha.

Not to be stopped for long, Manchester United responded again in the 19th minute after Rashford and Shaw combined well on the sideline with Shaw's pull back finding the lurking Pogba. Pogba beautifully guided the ball into the back of the net. United would have doubled their lead shortly after but Fernandes' shot was blocked after a brilliant effort to find him by Sancho. 2 minutes after, Ben Mee bundled the ball into his net and should have been 2-0 if not for a foul from Paul Pogba in the build-up before the ball found Rashford, whose pass into the box was poked home by Ben Mee.

Shaw made another chance for United in the 33rd minute after Sancho picked him out at the edge of the box. His ball was bundled into the part of Cavani with a little outside the line and Nick Pope magnificently blocked the header from Cavani from that sort of range. Manchester United were dominating as usual and having the better chances.

Manchester United were all over the place and Nick Pope kept Burnley in the game in the 40th minute after he brilliantly stopped Rashford shot again from a similar position earlier. Burnley had their chance for a counter-attack in the 43rd minute but they couldn't make the most of it as Fernandes recovered the ball.

Burnley had no shot on target in the first half but it took them 2 minutes into the second half to draw themselves level after Weghorst expertly picked out Jay Rodriguez and he left United defence for dead as he strolled in and coolly slotted home his effort with a dink into the back of the net. What a way to get back into the game.

Burnley grew into the game and started the second half with a bang and Weghorst came close in the 52nd minute with a volley shot but for the brilliance and alertness of De Gea, the ball would have gone in.

United came close in the 78th minute after Rashford did so well to get into the box, beat his marker and pick out Varane in the box but Varane's flick was blocked off for a corner. Ronaldo, as a substitute, came on but had a chance with his header but it flew over the bar.

The game ended 1-1 and it's more of 2 points dropped by Manchester United and a valuable point gained by Burnley. Manchester has been unbeaten in 114 games they have been ahead at halftime, dated as far back as 2004. They slipped out of the top 4 due to West Ham's win against Watford.
