Looks like the Argentinian genius has finally found his feet in France after some challenging times in the team. He stepped up and delivered the goods for PSG against RB Leipzig in their 3rd game of the UEFA Champions League campaign for this term. There is no doubt that PSG and Man City have been tipped to win this group but the window of surprise was left open for RB Leipzig to see what they would do against such formidable opponents.

They looked like they would snatch a point against PSG after Andre Silva restored parity despite Mbappe's early goal. Mukiele tilted the advantage towards Leipzig before the Argentine wizard scored twice; one from the penalty spot to give PSG the win and with the hope of qualification intact. The game ended 3-2 and PSG would be absolutely delighted.

RB Leipzig were still trying to argue their penalty appeal inside the PSG box and PSG launched a quick counterattack on the other end after catching Leipzig napping. The ball perfectly came to Mbappe who raced clear on goal before powering a lovely shot into the back of the net in the 9th minute leaving the goalkeeper helpless. What a swift counter from PSG after looking like conceding they turned the game and scored.

Mbappe failed to double his tally on the night after he was found inside the box in the 12th minute but his header was too much as he couldn't get his head well positioned to score. On the other end, Marquinhos stopped what could have been an equalizer after he blasted the ball over the bar with so many Leipzig players lurking inside the box but it wasn't for long as Andre Silva was found right inside the box in the 28th minute and all he needed to do was to tap in to draw his side level on the night.

Nkunku went for goal himself in the 42nd minute despite having options beside him but his effort wasn't rewarded as he flashed his shot wide off the target. He had another free kick on the edge of the box which he couldn't convert as well as he was unable to keep his effort down.

Angelino got his second assist of the night for RB Leipzig after another brilliant delivery into the box was met by Mukiele who poked home the effort to give RB Leipzig the lead for the first time in the game in the 57th minute.

RB Leipzig lost possession of the ball and Mbappe was on hand to steal it while racing towards goal. He unselfishly had a cut back of the ball as it found Messi who wasted no time in guiding the ball into the back of the net. He had to follow through with the ball to be sure it crossed the line after it first came off the post. That was Lionel Messi's 122nd UEFA Champions League goal and he got it for PSG in the 67th minute.

The game turned on its head again in the 73rd minute after Mbappe was clattered inside the box. The referee pointed to the spot and Lionel Messi stepped up to convert the effort with a brilliant Panenka effort. The goalkeeper watched helplessly as the ball rolled into the back of the net to give PSG the advantage yet again, 3-2.

Hakimi was brought down in the 3rd minute of added time and with the help of the VAR, the referee pointed to the spot. Mbappe was given the chance to do the honours and he stepped up only for him to blast over his effort. It didn't matter as PSG already won the game by 3-2.
