These are the amazing things I learned from Bro. Eli Soriano's teaching on the above-mentioned topic in addition to my own personal research as well.

1 John 5:16 (NIV)

If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.

There are mortal sins. There are some things we do without any form of malice to another. There are unintentional sins and the more we live together the more we learn. People will hurt us and we will hurt another, deliberate or not deliberate. Some things are beyond our control for that time being and some temptations we haven't built up the strength to tackle that might make us err every time too and these things should be considered because it can either be from us or from another person. There is a chance for someone to repeatedly do the same thing over and over again and still, it is not premeditated. It is all about the knowledge gap because we all come from different backgrounds.

Mathew 18:21&22 (NIV)

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”
Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

Jesus is teaching us the importance of letting go and allowing the love of God fill our hearts. If we can be offending God daily and He keeps forgiving us without holding back, how much more our fellow humans with our failing state.

The story of the servant that the king forgave came to mind. He was in debt and his debt was forgiven and he saw someone owing him far less and yet he wanted justice. God is calling us to a lifetime of forgiveness because as long as we are still here on earth, our human nature would always kick in and we would always need God's forgiveness. In the Lord's prayer, it says '...forgive us as we forgive those who trespassed against us...' This clearly shows God wants us to give as much as we are receiving.

Jesus is not encouraging us to go on sinning because we would forgive and should be forgiven as Christians, but He is teaching us to give as much as we are receiving from God. A life of selflessness and not of selfishness. This is also to open our eyes to how broad the forgiveness of God is to man.

Hebrews 10:26&27 (NIV)

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,
but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

Thank you for your time.
