England ran riot against Ukraine and gave them no chance at all after they dented their hopes for a semi-final berth. England produced a spirited and improved performance to beat Ukraine 4-0 on the day. It was an improved showing to the one that saw them beat Germany by 2 goals. Harry Kane is now producing at a vital stage of the competition after he grabbed 2 goals and Like Shaw gathered the accolades for a brilliant performance that saw him grab 2 assists.

England got off to a flying start after Sterling cuts in and was able to hold his ground before a pin-point pass found Harry Kane inside the box. He wasted no time too as he poked the ball into the back of the net in the 4th minute.

A misplaced pass from Kyle Walker gave Roman Yaremchuk the chance to run at goal. He managed to squeeze his shot in from a tight angle and Pickford was up for it by pushing it for a corner kick in the 16th minute. In the 29th minute, Luke Shaw produced a cross into the box from a freekick which Harry Kane met with a header but he headed over the bar.

In the 33rd minute, Sterling did so well to beat his marker for pace as he ran across the line into the box and his attempted ball into the box was cleared off but it fell perfectly for Declan Rice who produced a thumping strike that the goalkeeper can only punch away. The goalkeeper showed great reflex in getting his hand on it.

England started the second half as they did the first when a brilliant Luke Shaw's delivery from a freekick found Harry Maguire who shook off the challenge around him to place a lovely header into the back of the net in the 46th minute. Just 4 minutes after, Sterling spotted Luke Shaw's run and left a pass for him. He brilliantly crossed into the box again and this time around it was Harry Kane who headed the ball in between the legs of the goalkeeper to give England a 3-0 healthy lead.

Harry Kane would have gotten his hat-trick in the 62nd minute after substitute, Jordan Henderson's long pass to Sterling was headed clear into the path of Harry Kane and he produced a sumptuous volley that took the slightest touch from the goalkeeper to direct it off target. From the resulting corner kick, Henderson scored his first goal for England. Mason Mount delivered the ball into the box and Henderson was perfectly placed to head home and complete the 4-0 thumping of Ukraine.

Makarenko also worked Pickford with a brilliant long range shot which instinctively he managed to quickly punch away in the 74th minute. The game ended 4-0 and England got through to the Semi-Finals where they will have to take on the rejuvenated Denmark. It won't be a push over match in any way.
