There is a quote that says: ”Curiosity killed the cat” and to which I would say: ”The cat died nobly”.

Permit me to link curiosity to being sensitive. When you are curious about a thing, it shows you want to know, and when you seek to know, it shows you are sensitive to certain things and not acting nonchalant.

It is not a crime to be curious. Being curious is way too different from being nosy. Being nosy, to me means, you always want to know things that have nothing to do with you, adds no value to you or others, and being curious means you always want to know things because you want to add value to yourself and to others. It seeks to fix what is broken, it seeks to bring into existence what could have been or what can be made possible.

Most things that we have or most innovative ideas we see is borne out of curiosity. It was recently I got to know that Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright; Wright brothers were the first to fix wing aircraft at Kitty Hawk, in North Carolina in 1903. I am sure they couldn’t understand why only birds fly and they couldn’t. It wasn't a discovery only to benefit them, but to add value to themselves and to others.

I can imagine if Michael Faraday decided not to be a little bit curious, then light bulbs that we have now wouldn’t have been a reality and he was curious to know what could be made possible and he did it.

Fear sometimes hinders us from being curious. No one wants to fail, no one wants to be laughed at, no one wants to feel defeated. We are sometimes not sure what we are going to find, so we cut that aspect of our lives, like someone said, “If you ask the question, be very sure you are ready for the answer.”

You can’t be held back by fear of failure if you need to stretch your curiosity side. Being curious means you seek to know, and the question should be, ”What do you intend to do with what you want to know; what you are curious about?”

It is good to be curious, but the question is, what are we curious about? What are we seeking to know and to what purpose? We need to search our hearts.

Everything is about balance in life, you need to strike a balance between being curious and being nosy.

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
