Memories...

As a child,
When we get news that someone older died
It mostly means parties dressing up and going out
Sometimes, dancing and singing

But as I grew up
News of death mostly brings sadness
Happy-sad memories, tears, regrets and sweet-sour consolation

The thing that comes to your head
When you hear the news -
Mostly the first memories and the last memories you have of them

You remember the words they commonly say
The smile they always had
And sometimes the last conversation you had

Their memories linger still
When you walk the paths you have both walked together
And the things you both did during their lifetime
Seeps like a flowing river into your head...

Thank you for your time.

My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.

Still me,

My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
