So, the girls are fully steeped into school activities now and all the holiday fanfare has been forgotten. It's a vigorous term for Juwura because this is when she gets to sit for the Junior Secondary School examination. She has grown incredibly and is so much more mature these days. She sets her alarm and wakes up to read on her own without any coercion from us. She has also become a little quieter than she used to be and I discovered that she is good with musical instruments like the flute and the piano! Very interesting indeed as I have never had any musical inclinations except for singing and enjoying good music.

Barbie on the other hand, is still the regular tomboy. She is gonna be 11 in the next few months but still thinks she is 7...lol. She loves to play and climb stuff a lot. I had to get a first aid box just for her never ending scrapes and cuts. She is currently super excited about the school's inter-house sports. There has been an ongoing argument between us about which sports she is allowed to participate in. This is not because I want to restrict her but because she is prone to ignore classwork if she gets too involved in the sports. Thinking of the injuries and over excitement of the sports practice is already giving me a heart burn but I would probably let her participate in the marching but not in running and jumping this time.
