Poland, Park, Silesia, Japanese garden, an intriguing plant

A plant whose name I do not know. It has been growing in the Japanese garden for over 40 years. Resistant to extreme temperatures + - 40 degrees Celsius does not impress her, green throughout the year. Maybe this is the direction to hibernate astronauts in space travel?
