As you already know from my previous posts; the plan is to create a community of writers where there will be mentors that guide the newbies all the way to become good content creators.

In the last post, @ijmmaiwitness asked a brilliant question.

So we are not just promoting platform usage, but supply a mentored "Improve your writing skills" course. Is that what you are suggesting? How would you incentify the participants to stay active on Whaleshares?

Although, before the question I have been looking into ways the whole idea can be monetized apart from content created getting tips from the Whaleshares community.

The first way, I looked into is what is called Affiliate Marketing.

Affiliate marketing is a form of online business where you are paid a commission to help another business get customers or leads.

You only get paid when you bring a sale or when you help the business get a valid lead.

Affiliate marketing fits well into the promotion plan because writers will be creating unique & quality content in their various niches that will attract readers from search engines and social networks.

Some of the readers attracted will click on the writers affiliate link to buy whatever is recommended as a solution to whatever problem that attracted them to the content.

There is an affiliate program for every niche out there, therefore the writers & mentors won't need to worry about not finding a product to promote when choosing there niche.

How To Start An Affiliate Marketing Income.

It takes a simple three steps to start with affiliate marketing. The three steps are:

1. Find an affiliate program or an affiliate network. I bet there are affiliate programs for any niche you can imagine. As long as there is a product for that niche, there surely would be an affiliate program.

2. Learn more about the product, the affiliate program and the funnel to get a feel of the value that is in what you are promoting. After that, get your unique referral link.

3. Write unique and valuable content in your niche, add your affiliate link or affiliate banner to the post. Promote your post to people who will be interested in your write-up.

Not everyone of the readers will be interested in the affiliate offer, but a good number of them will click and take the offer which will bring you some commission. There are affiliate marketers that are making $100,000+ every month attracting readers to their content on the internet.

If you Google well known affiliate marketers and their annual income, you will be shocked how much those guys take home yearly!

I was promoting Presearch in most of my old posts, I added the banner ad to some of my posts and I was able to get some referrals from those post.

In all, I have got 55 referrals so far, and got paid on 13 of those referrals. See the image of my referral account below:
