If someone had told me 20 years ago that this book would end up on Hive, I would not have believed it.

If someone had told me 20 years ago that this book would end up on Hive, I would not have believed it. At that time only the paper book existed, ebooks were still in the dreams of readers and publishers. Well, at that time, a young artist-apprentice writer was trying his hand at the difficult act of writing. He wrote for several reasons, the first being to be able to leave a memory of those two years between 1998 and 2002 that marked his life forever, and the second to save on the cost of psychologists and psychiatrists, because writing a book allows you to put down on paper all the emotions that were overlapping my tumultuous young years at the time. So below is the second part of the intro, written by a good friend of mine, somewhat by chance. Which then became the imtroduction. When he wrote it I must have been more or less 25, about half the age I am now. Consider that the main part of this book was written in pen, on a piece of paper, things that today look like science fiction or archaeology. So enjoy the second page of the introduction.

Introduction (part 2) By Paolo

It always reminds you of the simplicity and beauty of small and
simple things: a plate of pasta, two degrees warmer, half a
ray of sunshine and many other small things,
He lives in a house, but it would be more accurate to say: "He lives inside an
experiment', a really good experiment, on clean and renewable forms of energy.
clean and renewable forms of energy. Stuff that may even be scary to some, but only
to some,
He always manages to take something nice from everyone (friends lost and
found, old and new, human beings in general) and everything (washing machines, copper pipes
copper pipes, pallets, cupboards): because to both humans and things, he
speaks and these, in their own way (boards for impossible paintings, hot water
fresh vegetables and hearts willing to listen to him) respond,
He often wonders,
He is changing,
He is growing,
It is living,
It is travelling, and the heart is searching for a destination and if it keeps it open it will
it will find it,
It is travelling.
I can understand that it is difficult to guess the character, to describe him is,
as usual, impossible for the mere fact that he is a human being, but I
who know him a little, I can swear that even inside a book it would be
difficult to find him because of how much he moves.
Greetings, Paolo.

Introduzione (part 2) by Paolo

a qualcuno,
ritrovati, vecchi e nuovi, esseri umani in generale) e tutto (lavatrici, tubi
Salutoni, Paolo.

Sogniamo is the song name for this page

Sogniamo was written in about 2004, a meeting with a group now called Palko Muski, who now play in the Swiss music scene. A group that, although they knew the benefits they would gain from signing with some label, remained at an amateur level, maintaining control over their music and their dress code. The meeting resulted in five pieces, which we the famous Regata Collective had already written and recorded in part, but a very powerful, suave and romantic sax was added. They were a group formed by what in Switzerland are called secundo, a somewhat derogatory way of referring to second-generation Italians, children of emigrants from the 60s and 70s.

We dream of a world
in which to go further and further away,
but we remain locked up
by the fear of what we are.
We dream of a land
on which it is possible not to make war
and we have in our hearts
the fears and pain of our closures.

Good listening

Buon ascolto

The story [Eng]

You have just read a page from my story as an Italian romantic songwriter. This story is the tale of a boy, between 1998 and 2002, riding in his LPG-powered Regata SW. The famous Regata, the one that when a child draws a car he can only draw a Regata Primavera Berlina, and mine was the extended model, the SW and LPG. The Regata also gave its name to the group of the same name, the Regata Collective, a vehicle that accompanied the various members of the group around Europe, with instruments and Fabio's computer on which the group's various pieces were meticulously recorded, in the long nights spent on what was then Cubase, which we later replaced with Reaper.fm.
I started writing this story at the end of 1999, after a whirlwind trip to the United States, a love trip let's say. Then I tried to publish it about 20 years ago on different platforms and with different publishers, copies sold 0, if you don't count those 10 that I obliged friends and relatives to buy under threat 🤣. So taking into account that here on Hive I'm going back to the box and I'm getting rewards again under a dollar a post, fuck the rewards, upvote and downvote, at least I'm pulling out from metres and metres of dust, mud and shit a story that I hope at least for someone even in 1000 years can be considered a jewel, especially because now I'm translating it also in English, with the help of deepl. Value and currency are not always the same thing

One song per page

It is also an unfinished work, because on page 9 of the book it says that some paragraphs, chapters are accompanied by a song by Regata Collective, only at the time there were only about ten Regata Collective songs, now there are at least 400 published on you tube. So each page will be accompanied by a Regata Collective song (here above) more or less as long as it takes to read the page.
