Ritorno al passato

Il muro

C'era un mondo fatto di corse, veloce, che accelerava verso il muro. Un muro fatto di deforestazione, plastica, sconvolgimenti climatici, un mondo descritto dagli scienziati e da molti altri esperti a partire dal club di Roma come il declino. Un mondo dove le risorse non sarebbero più bastate per soddisfare i bisogni dell'umanità. Poi avvenne un fatto eccezionale, venne denominato il Covid19, era ne più ne meno che un virus, un semplice virus, come i miliardi che già abitavano la terra che funse da freno. Un freno severo, potente che toccò tutti gli aspetti della vita sulla terra. Dagli aspetti sociali, economici, politici, democratici, ecologici. Tutto venne ribaltato. Non furono soltanto i milioni di morti, ma soprattutto il pensiero. Il pensiero cambiò profondamente.
Già in poco meno di un mese l'umanità manifestò un pensiero nuovo, diverso. Un pensiero che la nuova sfida portata dal virus aveva svelato dentro gli esseri umani. La paura fu sconfitta, ovvero la reazione ad essa che molto spesso aveva creato guerre, fame e miseria si era trasformata in qualcosa che assomigliava più a solidarietà piuttosto che a desiderio di dominazione. Ritrovammo un rapporto più equilibrato con la natura.

Ricordi

Insieme a Sara ripercorrevate spesso quei ricordi cosi forti e indelebili. Avevate appena 20 anni e il colore nella vostra memoria era ancora più forte, nitido, chiaro. A oltre 60 anni da ciò che avvenne in quei mesi tutto era finalmente chiaro, soprattutto la ragione ultima di ciò che avvenne. Fu drammatico, disperato, ma fu il rimedio per evitare il peggio, fu il grande colpo di freno dato al momento giusto per evitare l'ormai inevitabile. Tutti i parametri prevedevano dei cataclismi tali da rendere la vita sulla terra sempre più complicata e via via impossibile, deforestazione, inquinamento, alterazione ciclo dell'azoto, dell'anidride carbonica, mancanza di acqua potabile, aria irrespirabile.
Invece un piccolo, microscopico virus determinò una nuova partenza. In modo obbligato e contemporaneamente spontaneo gli abitanti della terra furono costretti a riprendere possesso dell'agricoltura e questa volta in modo non più dipendente dal petrolio. Si svilupparono in modo presso che simultaneo agricolture altrettanto produttive che già da oltre 70 anni si erano diffuse sulla terra grazie al grande maestro contadino Masanobu Fukuoka. Anche nel campo dell'educazione ci fu un ribaltamento totale. L'obiettivo dell'educazione divenne le felicità, una parola quasi tabù prima di allora. La formazione dei ragazzi avrebbe cominciato a basarsi sulla soddisfazione personale e non sul sacrificio. Il passaggio da una finanza centralizzata ad una decentralizzata contribuí notevolmente a garantire questo processo di cambiamento.

The wall

There was a world of racing, fast, accelerating towards the wall. A wall made of deforestation, plastic, climatic upheavals, a world described by scientists and many other experts starting from the club of Rome as the decline. A world where resources would no longer be enough to satisfy humanity's needs. Then an exceptional event occurred, it was called Covid19, it was neither more nor less than a virus, a simple virus, like the billions that already inhabited the earth that acted as a brake. A severe, powerful brake that touched all aspects of life on earth. From the social, economic, political, democratic, ecological aspects. Everything was reversed. It was not only the millions of deaths, but above all the thought. The thought changed profoundly.
Already in just under a month, humanity manifested a new, different thought. A thought that the new challenge brought by the virus had revealed within humans. Fear was defeated, or the reaction to it that very often had created wars, hunger and misery had turned into something that looked more like solidarity rather than desire for domination. We found a more balanced relationship with nature.

Remember

Together with Sara you often retraced those strong and indelible memories. You were just 20 years old and the color in your memory was even stronger, sharper, clearer. Over 60 years after what happened in those months, everything was finally clear, especially the ultimate reason for what happened. It was dramatic, desperate, but it was the remedy to avoid the worst, it was the great blow to restrain the right time to avoid the now inevitable. All the parameters provided for cataclysms such as to make life on earth increasingly complicated and gradually impossible, deforestation, pollution, alteration of the nitrogen cycle, carbon dioxide, lack of drinking water, breathable air.
Instead a small, microscopic virus brought about a new departure. In an obligatory and at the same time spontaneous way the inhabitants of the earth were forced to take back possession of agriculture and this time in a way no longer dependent on oil. At the same time, equally productive crops developed that had already spread over the earth for over 70 years thanks to the great peasant master Masanobu Fukuoka. Even in the field of education there was a complete reversal. The goal of education became happiness, an almost taboo word before then. The training of the boys would begin to be based on personal satisfaction and not on sacrifice. The transition from centralized to decentralized finance contributed significantly to guaranteeing this process of change.
