A government commission was present to convince him with threats of expropriation that would yield to attempts to allow the objects to be taken to a museum in the capital so that they could be exhibited to the public and authorize deeper excavation of the site.

They stumbled upon the concupiscence of the man who was not going to let himself be hidden by pretty words or threats that an army would need to fulfill them.

He made them a counteroffer, to build the museum in the village in exchange for letting them explore the land.

Weeks later he received the affirmative answer to the negotiation and a group of eight people, with modern equipment built a camp a few meters from the land where the objects appeared, which had not been touched by anyone, since a group of employees of the landowner were guarding them.

Meanwhile in the village there was joy and confusion and among the oldest fears, because according to them the grandparents told that the place was cursed and that anyone who took something from there would die, which would mean that the place would be deserted if the buried pieces were taken there.

Old, little-known legends were dusted off and its arguments revolved around an old foreign necromancer who lived in the place hundreds of years before the property was occupied by the Moreno family and who claimed to be able to travel back in time, from where he had managed to collect objects from each trip, especially watches. Before his death he wrote his memoirs and buried everything with the help of a black slave that he had brought from the African continent to the place where he lived, there his servant buried him and kept the writings in a trunk.
He asked her to leave because anyone who took something that was hers would die.

Some claimed that the black man buried the trunk there, others that he took it, the truth is that history was always considered a myth and now that the facts demonstrated the veracity of the objects in the town and the area was created a collective fear.

A group of inhabitants went to talk to Alexis asking him to leave everything buried there and the man then remembered the story, but nothing assured him that they were talking about the same thing, so he promised them that if he had any proof he would do it.

Days later, as if predicting a not very promising future, one of the employees guarding the place, overcome by curiosity, took an astrolabe and marveled at its design.

--What is an astrolabe? -one of the youngest interrupts with the question.

Everyone is looking at him recriminating him because he has cut history at a time when events had them imagining everything.

-It is an ancient instrument used by sailors to guide them according to the stars. -replies the old man.

-Have you seen any?

-Leave the questioner -recriminate another.

--Yes, but then I'll answer all your doubts, I'll continue with the story.
