Well, after 70 posts with our daily practices :muscle: writing a few characters and fairly simple sentences, we are upgrading our studying activities to the next level!! Let's keep walking together in this never-ending journey my friends!

Users who would like to participate can start whenever he/she wants, the users mentioned below just happen to be the first ones to be interested in learning Chinese. I guarantee that ANYONE interested in learning Chinese will also get WLS from me while doing it! I think that further incentivizing people to learn useful stuff is a good way to use my stake on Whaleshares. Besides, if past lessons posts' payout already expired, the potential new users and I could just continue the trend in the comment section since each comment is essentially a new post.

We're going to level up to Chinese standard massive workloads :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ! We are going to focus on four pillars that will allow us to build the first floors of our Chinese learning process. What we are about to start would not be possible if we have not invested three months practicing the basics of Chinese reading and writing.

I want to congratulate my students @mirzantorres, @truelovemom, @sthephany, and @chrstnv for enduring all this time and for your willingness to learn! You are the ones that give meaningful value to this effort :wls_blush:

From here on we are going to focus on practicing the key elements of Chinese grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension as presented in the standard courses of the 汉语书评考试. Also, I will complement the learning material with the content found in the book "Chinese, A Comprehensive grammar" by Yip Po-Ching and Din Rimmington. Of course, a lot of reading and writing material will come from the HSK syllabus and it will serve as the framework for our future lessons.

So, when do we start? RIGHT NOW!!

Our working methodology will rely heavily on the amount of self-study work each of you can perform on a day to day basis in order to grasp all the proposed material. The new elements will add just on top of the previously worked lessons, thus we will end up building a knowledge tower on which each learning element is reviewed each time new elements are added.

I know that the workload will be massive, but we most have the warrior attitude! If Chinese folks can do it, we will succeed as well!!

Let's begin shall we?

Ok, I will provide a set of grammar points (more like language focus points) and a vocabulary list each lesson in order for students to create sentences practicing each language focus points. The workload will be increased each lesson since the text you create for lesson 2 has to contain the elements learned on lesson 1; lesson 3 shall contain lesson 2 and lesson 1 learning material and so on.

  • The complement of result “好”: the complement of result “好” follows a verb to indicate that the action has been satisfactorily completed. For example 我复习好了昨天的课。
  • The negative structure “一………也/都+不/没+V”: The negative structure “一+Measure word+Noun+也/都+不/没+V (not at all)" indicates complete negation. For example 我一个手机也没买了。 Sometimes the “一+Measure word” is replaced with "一点儿”。For example 这个月我忙极了,一点儿时间也没有。 When the predicate is an adjective, the structure "一点儿也/都+不+Adj." is used to indicate the complete negation. For example 你怎么一点儿也不知道?
  • The conjunction “那”: 那 is used at the beginning of a sentence to indicate the result obtained from the previous action, or to express the logic result of the aforementioned condition. For example 我不想去吃外边,那我就做做水果饭。
