I'm happy to share with everyone Whale Watcher, a chrome extension made to notify users when they are tagged on a post/comment on whaleshares!

So how does it work?

Basically, You need to set a username to "watch" and I've made a script that watches all posts/comments sent to the chain and checks if the content has said username. If it does, then the script will add a notification badge to the chrome extension icon and the respective links in the notification tab.

How do I set it up?

  1. Get Chrome Extension from Google Web Store. Click Me!

  2. Click on Whale Watcher Icon
After adding the extension to Chrome, you should now be able to see the Whale Watcher icon on the upper right hand side of Chrome.
    The icon looks like this:

  3. Set a Username
To set a username simply write your username (without the @ and currently case sensitive) and click submit, If you've done it correctly you should be notified that "username now being watched".

And you're all set! Now when you are tagged a notification badge will show up on the icon and the author and link to the comment should be on the notifications tab.

... On the notifications tab

P.S: If you find any bugs, please let me know on discord (Jepu#2789) or leave it down at the comments below :D

I hope it'll be useful for people who fail to see when they are tagged, I believe it's a nifty tool especially if you don't use discord much. Let me know what you guys think!
