How to enjoy your wealth - Part 1

On Friday December 27, I went for a summit at the Christ the King Parish here in Accra. The summit was to educate the youth on how to break free from poverty and make wealth with the wisdom of God. I learnt a few things and I want to share with you all. Lemme know your thoughts after reading. I have divided it into 3 and this is the first part.

Salvation at the church includes money. Luke 4:18, Jesus came to give good news to the poor, and that goodness includes taking the poor out of poverty. Money answers all things, and the lack of it means there is a question. Isaiah 48:17 talks about God teaching how to profit.

Deuteronomy 8:18 shows God himself teaches wealth and so talking about wealth in church isn’t vanity. 1 Chronicles 29:28 shows David who was not a believer in Christ enjoyed life, wealth and honor, and had a successor. He had generational blessing. The white man brought the Bible and told Africans to be holy to get to heaven, because their reward is in heaven whiles they took our resources to their homes to enjoy whiles on earth.

Genesis 2:8 shows God wanted man to enjoy paradise here on earth and not wait until heaven, that’s why God didn’t put Adam anywhere in the world, but placed him in the garden of Eden, with Eden meaning paradise. Matthew 19:29 shows heaven is a bonus of being a Christian and not the main target. Assuming you are on a plane to Dubai, and you decide not to take anything served, because the plane trip is just a journey and not the destination, and that’s how we’ve likened present day Christianity. We believe we are not supposed to enjoy here on earth because life is a journey and we can only enjoy when we get to heaven. That’s a wrong thinking.

1 Timothy 6:17 God wants you to be wealthy and enjoy wealth, but not to love money over God. God gives us everything for our enjoyment, and not to wait until heaven. There’s power and ability to produce wealth, and there’s power and ability to enjoy wealth which only God gives. Many are rich, but few enjoy their wealth. Ecclesiastes 5:19 shows God gives wealth and gives the ability to enjoy them and be happy with the wealth. Proverbs 10:22 shows God gives wealth without painful toil so Christians should enjoy wealth. God doesn’t put you to test when you are blessed and there’s sorrow, because Gods blessings come with no sorrow.
