Afbrokkelend geloof / Crumbling faith

More and more I see that faith, especially in central Europe, suffers from less interest. Churches are empty and in many cities these have already been transformed into hotels, markets and banquet halls.
Now I also see this trend in the smaller towns and villages. In those rural areas, there used to be hundreds of little chapels with statues of saints in them, carefully maintained by the neighborhood. Now I see many of those sacred houses disappear, and sometimes change in content.
Shown chapel I saw yesterday during my bike ride. I thought it was funny. Mary statue out, plush bears in.
Some find this evolution regrettable, but I think it is a good thing. For me they should not disappear, there are very nice ones, but it represents something that I do not support ... belief in general.
I edited the captured photo into what it once could have been just to show its evolution.
