Rejection
Why did you pick up the phone?
When you know you don't want this
You don't want us yet you lied

All you needed to do was to tell me
This attitude is worse and inhumane
Dealing with the rejection really hurts
You shouldn't have picked
Why come to me if you knew along
That you wouldn't stay
Arousing feelings only to leave
Now all is left are empty words
Don't say what you don't mean
'Cos this feels like a waste
You can leave and shut the door
Someday I would smile again
I choose to hope and dream
That you didn't want us hurts
But I intend to keep being me
Not letting this tear me apart
Nor change my sweetness.
