Trying to use an umbrella here is like that moment in the movie we see a gust of wind comes and no matter what some lady does she can’t hold her dress down. You know the famous Monroe shot right?

I get it being wet sucks but you live in one of the wettest parts of the world which also tends to be pretty windy at the same time. Waist your money and make a fool of yourself, over and over. Be my guest but you won’t see me worried about a little water on my face.
