Woah man... its been a while since my last #Blockchain Coffee and I was just starting to get a response on the posts 😅 duty called and I am now on vacation up in the middle of the night wondering WTF to do with myself... help me... with today's prompt "demon" drop your #freewrite link in the comments below, with a question, any question, for tips & cross-platform mention in upcoming posts ❤️

Day 4 on my lock-down vacation, awoken by my boss wondering why I am not at work... FFS it was approved... nope not going in! Rather I will "speak to"(as I won't be listening) the office in the morning about needing this time away no matter how "fucked" they think they are... with coffee in hand and work on my mind during a time it should be the last thing 🤦‍♂️ sitting down to write for the only place I do so, The Cryptoverse, let's just step into it...

"Demon" or "Daemon"? Is this one of those strange moments when the same things have multiple spellings? Nope not going to even bother answering my own question, don't care, not one bit, its an evil word with evil connotations... though I do find it interesting when thinking about use-case of the word for describing background operating services on your computer...

Googled "daemon" cause I was curious...

In multitasking computer operating systems, a daemon (/ˈdiːmən/ or /ˈdeɪmən/)[1] is a computer program that runs as a background process, rather than being under the direct control of an interactive user. Traditionally, the process names of a daemon end with the letter d, for clarification that the process is in fact a daemon, and for differentiation between a daemon and a normal computer program.

When thinking of a demon, obviously ideas of possession much like the Hollywood projected ideas in "The Exorcist" are sure to flood your mind. Something which takes control leaving you powerless to do anything merely a voyager of the vessel witnessing on-goings the same as any bystander. If you relate this to what many computer daemons actually do it is surprisingly fitting though not carrying the negative assumptions. Your computer could not function without its daemons as they operate many of the vital services for your system in the same way your brain just does shit which keeps you breathing.

Lets say you make the conscious decision to stop breathing, a task normally controlled by your cognitive daemons. Since your control over such things requires oxygen for thought then once having depleted your oxygen enough to loose consciousness your control over the daemon will be lost and the function of the daemon will continue, you will begin to breathe again and regain consciousness. Control over these behind the scenes process can only be achieved with utmost attention and only remains under our influence while given priority. Say one of these conscious daemons were high-jacked like what happens to the services of a PC, would this not be the best figurative way of describing a possession?

A physical world demon is the same as a viral infected daemon... maybe people don't need exorcisms rather just...
