Honey flow is on 馃嵂

Just a couple quick photos to share of bees doing what bees do........make honey. Hard to believe that 1 month ago I was feeding hives that were starving and now they are packing away the honey rapidly. Although it was a mild winter, the spring was a killer, literally. Bees consume the majority of their winter stores in the spring when they have to raise the temperature in the hive to raise new bees and to feed them. With the cold nasty spring we had, there was very little nectar available of warm days to gather what was available. I can't always get to all my hives on a regular cadence and although I did my best to feed hives that where struggling, I did loose a few to starvation.
