Religious or Ignoramus?
Hey guys! How are you? I'll love to engage you for a few moments about something.
Does being religion give room for ignorance?
Funny question right? I'm sure you'd give me an outright no! But guess what? Most of us hide under religion to be ignorant.
Ignorant of ways, means to alleviate poverty.
Ignorant of things we should know about our bodies.
Ignorant of things we should know about our health.
Ignorant of things we should know about life!
Does being religious say we shouldn't work hard legitimately and make the dough? We say this job isn't befitting of so and so, what will my brethren say? So we choose to stay poor and be liabilities to the brethren we are so bothered about.
Due to faith, we don't know what our bodies demand from us in terms of food, rest, sleep. We don't even know what we are allergic or hypersensitive to. We fail to go for check ups and medical interventions.
We shy away from talking to our kids about sex and the other things, so they learn away from home. From the wrong people. They learn through practicals, lol. Sex, drugs and other vices.
Should we continue to hide under religion and be ignorant? I'll love to hear your thoughts about the way out/around this.
