Climbing the colonnade of St. Isaac's Cathedral (St. Petersburg)

I took this photo while climbing the colonnade of St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg. There was a rather long staircase, at the end of which an exit was waiting for us. When I saw the light, I stopped, let the people passing by and took this photo just to show the path I had traveled.

But it so happened that I managed to form the composition quite well in my opinion. And it became not just a shot from the series "And here this long staircase ended", but also some kind of geometric asbtraction.

I strongly recommend to open the photo in a separate tab to appreciate it.
