bHIVE Daily Bible (Job 22:29)

When they cast you down, and you say, ‘Exaltation will come!’ Then He will save the humble person. (Job 22:29)

I was reading today as usual and came across this phrase once again from Martin Luther which says “three things make a man of God, meditation, prayer, and temptation. Then I stop to think about it and I discovered that everyone will be fine with the first two but the third one is what defines the man in the outside world, everyone should possess’ Godly character because we are the Bible the people of this days read, they no longer read the Bible.

The temptation either destroys or makes one stronger in the believer’s race. We need to flee all the battles of the world which are core temptations, don’t yield to lust, don’t give in to greed, don’t allow pride, etc. Reading the Bible alone cannot make us godly but we need the struggle of life to make us strong. Your salvation will be questioned in the face of temptation. We are all the products of our temptation today.

Your salvation rests not on your performance but on God’s unchanging character. Sorrow may bring us to the earth completely, and death to the grave but lower we cannot sink, and out of the lowest of all, we shall arise to the highest of all, for no saint shall fall finally or fatally. We are complete in God, God lives in us.

Struggle in rest, fight on and keep the fight open to God’s intervention according to Proverb 3:3-6 which says “ Trust in the Lord”.

One thing is what I want you to know, God will not let temptation that is bigger than your faith to happen to you. Anything that happens to you is a test of the faith you carry which will take you to a new level of faith if you pass the current temptation. Christians are meant to experience trials like everyone is this sinful world with no exceptions. What you do during this period is what single you out as a true Christian or just a believer.

Brethren, I wrote to you today to be tired of sin and run to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. If you fear the future, run to the cross. If you need hope and encouragement, run to the cross. If you want to meet Jesus, run to the cross. The Bible says there is a step of faith between you and destruction between you and Jesus.
