Kyoto magical places✨
today i'm making a different post, something more like a travel blog✨
I want to present you some of the most popular tourist spots in japan in Kyoto.
They are very ancient places which perfectly maintain their splendor.
Hey! That's me in front of the entrance gate of the golden palace🤯
The Kinkaku-ji is a palace built in 1397 that is actually made out of gold!🤩
Its walls are covered with a thin layer of gold leaf, an incredibly difficult job considering also the regular repair checks.😅
But the magical atmosphere that creates a golden castle nestled in the green forest is a beautiful view that makes all the hustles worth.
The castle was built by the shogun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu Who was thinking of abdicating at the time and wanted to have a (very flashy) vacation rental.✨
After the shogun's death, the building became a temple where monks went to pray🙏
The truth behind this building is that it is actually an accurate reproduction of the original, which unfortunately was burned in 1950 by a crazy monk.💥
The palace was rebuilt according to the original project conceived by Yoshimitsu, that is, covering the second floor with gold.💸💸💸
The second place i'll take you to visit is the Fushimi Inari Taisha,
one of the most beautiful places I have seen in Japan!⛩
at the entrance there is a huge temple dedicated to kitsune foxes
animals that are able to transform and take human form,
they are the protagonists of a lot of popular legends.🦊
in this temple it is possible to donate 5 yen (very little) which is considered the coin with the most magical power🧞♂️
offer them as a tribute to ring a bell or receive tickets for propitiatory purposes.👺
Here is the ticket I received, I don't remember in detail what was written on it but fortunately no bad luck.🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
and here's the funniest part: climbing the thousand portals!
a very long uphill path decorated with many Japanese portals,
every year many people build a portal to add to the climb and therefore the number always goes up.⬆️
every now and then during the climb you can see cats wandering around🐱, this black and white cat was with his back to me and did not want to be pet.😢
This photo will remain the memory of this incredible adventure😭
In the end we couldn't finish the climb because my companion was tired, guess we will try next time.😂
So we stopped to get a slush.🤷♂️
I got a melon slush and my Japanese friend got a traditional one, with unflavored crushed ice and azuki beans jam (i know it could seem a weird thing but i assure you azuki beans are 🤯)
I hope you enjoyed this post!
Now guess i'll go find more photos of my trip to Japan in my phone gallery so that i can tell you about other adventures.🕵️♀️
